The Popular Steering Committee for a Zone of Peace in Our Americas commits to launching this mass network. Once the Network is launched, the Popular Steering Committee will continue to lead the strategic and ‘official’ work of the Zone of Peace campaign, with the philosophy of democratic centralism, but groups of organizations and individuals within the network are empowered to coordinate and execute activities and events under the banner of the campaign. The Popular Steering Committee can also help coordinate or support bottom-up initiatives of groups of organizations or individuals within the Network.
El Comité Directivo Popular por una Zona de Paz en Nuestra América se compromete a lanzar esta red. Una vez que se lance la Red, el Comité Directivo continuará liderando el trabajo estratégico y “oficial” de la campaña Zona de Paz, siguiendo la filosofía del centralismo democrático. Sin embargo, los grupos de organizaciones e individuos dentro de la red estarán facultados para coordinar y ejecutar actividades y eventos bajo el marco de la campaña. Asimismo, el Comité Directivo podrá ayudar a coordinar o apoyar iniciativas surgidas desde abajo por parte de grupos u organizaciones dentro de la Red.
