15-23 de noviembre.

El ejército estadounidense está desplegando a toda prisa su grupo de batalla de portaaviones, con destructores, aviones de combate y submarinos nucleares, hacia las costas de Venezuela, al tiempo que amenaza a Colombia y concentra tropas estadounidenses en Puerto Rico y en todo el Caribe. El Secretario de Estado Marco Rubio está llamando para la derrota militar de presidente Maduro en Venezuela y el reemplazamiento de presidente Petro en Colombia.

Esto es un preludio a otra guerra estadounidense interminable- una guerra para militarizar todo el hemisferio occidental. La implacable guerra financiada por Estados Unidos contra Palestina y en todo el oeste de Asia continúa sin cesar.
Mientras tanto, el uso de tropas federales y miles de agentes de ICE en redadas y detenciones en masa, juntos con los aumentos masivos en costos de salud y cortes a servicios gubernamentales, son un ataque contra todo el pueblo trabajador de los Estados Unidos. Con el pretexto falso de combatir el narcotráfico, misiles estadounidenses han asesinado a tripulaciones de pequeñas embarcaciones en el Caribe y el Pacífico. Estados Unidos ha matado a decenas de
personas, hasta el momento procedentes de cuatro países, en secreto, sin pruebas ni el debido proceso legal.

Esta escalada hacia una guerra total no tiene nada que ver con el narcotráfico. De hecho, el gobierno estadounidense tiene un carácter de narco estado. En los ochentas, permitió la venta de cocaína en barrios afros de Los Ángeles para financiar a la contra en Nicaragua. El gobierno estadounidense estuvo
aliado con él ex presidente de Colombia Álvaro Uribe, que fue reconocido por su propia Agencia de Inteligencia Militar como uno de los narcotraficantes más importante de su país.
¿Por qué quiere el gobierno gringo una guerra con Venezuela? Venezuela posee las mayores reservas de petróleo conocidas en el mundo: cinco veces superiores a las de Estados Unidos. El gobierno venezolano se niega a ser dominado por Estados Unidos. Está decidido a utilizar sus propios recursos
de petróleo, gas, carbón, diamantes y oro para la salud, la vivienda y la educación del pueblo venezolano, no para los multimillonarios estadounidenses. Los ataques y las amenazas abiertas de cambio de régimen por parte de Estados Unidos en Venezuela y Colombia constituyen una flagrante
violación del derecho internacional.

La amenaza de una guerra contra Venezuela es parte de la guerra híbrida e imperialista para la dominación estadounidense de América y el Caribe, y para la imposición del fascismo por todo el hemisferio. La amenaza ya procede de bases coloniales de Puerto Rico ocupado, que ha incluido
asesinatos de pueblos no solo de Venezuela, también de Colombia y Trinidad. La amenaza a Venezuela
es una extensión a la ocupación de Haití y es basado en las mismas mentiras usado para derrotar el
gobierno elegido de Jean Bertrand Aristide. La amenaza acompaña amenazas contra el presidente de
Colombia, Gustavo Petro. La amenaza contra Venezuela también tiene que ver con las amenazas de
tarifas contra Brasil y la rebelión actual contra un gobierno golpista en Perú y el rescate yanqui del
gobierno derechista de Argentina. La amenaza contra Venezuela es una extensión de las amenazas a

la posibilidad de intervención militar, la amenaza a Venezuela es una amenaza a México.

Mas allá del impacto para Nuestras Américas, la amenaza tiene repercusiones internacionales. La guerra híbrida contra América Latina y el Caribe es una extensión de los conflictos estadounidenses y europeos con Rusia, Iran, y China, que ya ha pasado los EE.UU. en sus negocios con la región. Más, la posibilidad que una guerra con Venezuela pueda incluir ataques contra Colombia resultaría en la situación rara por
cual un miembro de OTAN (EE.UU.) ataque el único socio global latinoamericano de OTAN (Colombia). Hay que recordar que el Caribe también tiene territorios ocupados por Holanda y Francia, países de OTAN. Notamos que el primer ejercicio naval de OTAN en el caribe era iniciado por parte de los EE.UU.
Es hora de salir a las calles y resistir los ataques del gobierno y las corporaciones estadounidenses contra la gente de Venezuela, Colombia, toda América Latina y el Caribe, mientras se militariza y reprime al pueblo estadounidense.

Unámonos del 15 al 23 de noviembre y organicemos acciones en ciudades, pueblos y campus universitarios de todo el país. Que los instigadores de la guerra sepan que nos oponemos a la guerra contra cualquier pueblo de América. Construyamos una Zona de Paz en todo nuestro hemisferio. Continuaremos movilizándonos con acciones locales y regionales en diciembre, con atención especial al 17 de diciembre, el aniversario de la muerte de Simón Bolívar el “Gran Emancipador”, contra la dominación América Latina. ¡RESISTE las guerras de EE. UU.!

No War on Venezuela! No Gringo War with the Caribbean and Latin America! Our Americas must
be a Zone of Peace! Calling on popular movements, social organizations, trade unions, progressive and radical parties, and activists to engage in mass mobilization!

An emergency network is calling for local and regional actions, large and small, during the week of
November 15 – 23. (Also actions within 24 hours of any major U.S. escalation). Organize rallies; street meeting; vigils; speak-outs; educational sessions; protests at U.S. embassies and
consulates, offices of governments and politicians who support the threat of war, etc. Our peoples,
communities, and movements must fight for true peace.

The US military is hurrying its aircraft carrier battle group, with destroyers, jet warplanes and nuclear submarines to the shores of Venezuela, while threatening Colombia and massing U.S. troops in Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is calling for the military overthrow of President Maduro in Venezuela and the replacement of President Petro in Colombia. This is a build-up to another endless U.S. war – a war to militarize the whole Western Hemisphere. Relentless U.S. funded war on Palestine and throughout western Asia continues unabated. Meanwhile the use of Federal troops and thousands of ICE agents in raids and mass arrests, along with massive increases in health costs and cuts to government services, are an attack on all working people in the U.S.

Using the false claim that it is combating drug trafficking, U.S. missiles have murdered crews of small boats, in the Caribbean and in the Pacific. The U.S. has killed dozens, so far from 4 countries, in secrecy, without evidence or due process of law.
This move towards all-out war has nothing to do with drug trafficking. In fact, the US government has the characteristics of a narco-state. In the 1980s, it allowed the sale of cocaine in Black neighborhoods of Los Angeles to finance the Contras in Nicaragua. The US government was allied with former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe, who was identified by its own Military Intelligence Agency as one of the most
important drug traffickers in his country Why does the gringo government want a war with Venezuela? Venezuela has the greatest known oil reserves in the world – five times the U.S. oil reserves. The Venezuelan government refuses to be
dominated by the U.S. It is determined to use its own oil, gas, coal, diamond and gold resources for healthcare, housing and education for the people of Venezuela, not for U.S. billionaires. The US attacks and open threats of regime change in Venezuela and Colombia are a blatant violation of international law.

The threat of war against Venezuela is part of the hybrid and imperialist war for US domination of Latin America and the Caribbean, and for the spread of fascism throughout the hemisphere. The threat already emanates from colonial bases in occupied Puerto Rico, and has already included the murder of people not only from Venezuela, but also from Colombia and Trinidad. The threat to Venezuela is an extension of
the occupation of Haiti and is based on the same lies used to overthrow the elected government of Jean- Bertrand Aristide. The threat is also directed against the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro. The threat against Venezuela is relevant to Trump’s threats of tariffs against Brazil and, furthermore, to the current rebellion against a coup government in Peru, and, moreover, to the US bailout of the right-wing government of Argentina. The threat against Venezuela is an extension of the threats to Cuba and Nicaragua. Together with the militarization of the Caribbean and the militarized wall and their rhetoric
about the possibility of military intervention, the threat to Venezuela is a threat to Mexico. In other words, the threat of war with Venezuela is a threat of war with the entire Caribbean, all of Latin America, and the entire hemisphere. It is a war to advance American fascism.

Beyond the impact on Our Americas, the threat has international repercussions. Hybrid warfare against
Latin America is an extension of the US and European conflicts with Russia, Iran, and China. Furthermore, the possibility that a war with Venezuela could include attacks against Colombia would result in the rare situation of a NATO member (the US) attacking NATO’s only Latin American global partner (Colombia). It is important to remember that the Caribbean also has territories occupied by the Netherlands and France, both NATO members. We note that the first NATO naval exercise in the
Caribbean was initiated by the US. It is time to take to the streets and resist these U.S. government and corporate attacks on people in Venezuela, Colombia, all Latin America and the Caribbean, while militarizing and repressing the people of
the U.S.

Let’s join together, November 15 – 23, and build actions in cities, towns and campuses throughout the country. Let the war makers know that we are opposed to war on people anywhere in our Americas. Build a Zone of Peace across our hemisphere.
We will continue to mobilize in local and regional actions in December, focusing on the December 17th Anniversary of the death of Simon Bolivar, “The Great Emancipator”, against colonial domination in Latin America. RESIST U.S. War, Militarism, and Neocolonialism!

This emergency call for coordinated national actions includes activists from the following 35+ groups.
